The very serious advantage of C# (and .net) lies in the fact that Microsoft built around all this a very branched and large ecosystem, in which it is possible to pronounce it quite well, being a specialist only in the technologies developed by Microsoft. The same C#, as it was correctly noticed above, allows you to write to the desktop (and Windows, for a minute, is 90% of the market), both for Web, and for mobile platforms (although, of course, everything is foggy and unsteady - confidence in the bright future of Windows Phone and even with it) I actually PRUSED, I did not only PRAZUMS, Freimvorki, SDK, huge classes of classes for all occasions, DBMS and development environment, but also comprehensive documentation systems, MSDN, all kinds of video portals like techdays. All this has been created for a long time, in places it is even actively developing and provides a wide scope for development, so the arguments in favor of C#, I think, is quite significant. What can Ruby/Python boast of, perhaps, I can’t say - but you, I believe, can answer yourself
